Sunday Setlist, January 03 2010

This week at North Terrace Church of Christ, we began a new series called Games People Play, with the catch being the name of a new board game as the theme each week.  Today was Monopoly…we talked about where our treasures lie, and about money and using it to serve God instead of hoarding it.

Since I was off this past week on vacation, I didn’t get to coordinate as closely to the topic as I liked, so I picked some solid songs that I know are home runs every time we lead them.

We sang:

Because of Your Love (Paul Baloche); Made Me Glad (Hillsong), Jesus Paid it All (Kristian Stanfill), In Christ Alone, and the decision song was Above All.

I opened with Psalm 90, a prayer of Moses, that we should number our days, given that we sometimes only have seventy or eighty years; and that God may establish the work of our hands (I referred this a couple posts ag0).

It was a great day, especially during second worship hour when the Spirit led me to take a different path and speak to the attenders in a spur of the moment time of encouragement and prayer.

This blog entry is a part of a series every week called Sunday Setlist, based on Fred McKinnon’s idea to share how God moved and what happened in our worship in order to encourage the Kingdom here on earth.  Check out all the entries at his blog here.
